Job Requirements:

• 1.5+ Years Experience in IP Coding/ IP Quality Auditing.
• Certification: CPC Mandatory
• Qualification: Any Degree
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and inpatient coding concepts.
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Knowledge of principal diagnosis selection, sequencing, and clinical documentation.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet quality and productivity benchmarks.

Job Descriptions:

For IP 

• Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes.
• Apply official coding guidelines, including principal diagnosis selection and secondary diagnosis reporting.
• Review clinical documentation, discharge summaries, and physician notes.
• Identify documentation gaps and potential coding discrepancies.
• Ensure coding accuracy, productivity, and compliance with applicable guidelines.
• Meet client-defined quality and productivity targets.

For IP Quality Auditor

• Audit inpatient medical coding for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Identify coding errors, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Validate principal diagnoses, secondary diagnoses, and sequencing.
• Provide constructive feedback and coding guidance to medical coders.
• Perform root cause analysis of recurring errors and recommend corrective actions.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain audit reports.
