Requirements:

Position- Medical Coders / Senior Medical Coders / QA / SME / Trainers with coding certifications(CIC /COC/ CCS/ CPC with active credentials)

Speciality : IP, E/M, Denials, Surgery

1 to 7 Year’s experience in Medical Coding

Education – Any Graduate

Successful completion of a certification program from AHIMA or AAPC.

Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Familiarity with ICD-10 CM & PCS codes and procedures

Solid oral and written communication skills

Able to work independently.

# IP coding Responsibilities:

Reviewed inpatient medical records and assigned accurate ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.

Assigned and sequenced codes accurately based on medical record documentation.

 Assigned POA indicators correctly. 

Thorough understanding and application of medical necessity, DRGs, APGs, and APRs for processing claims

Adhered to coding clinics and guidelines, and queried physicians for clarification as needed.

Checking on the account status on regular basis if kept on Hold and follow up with respective leaders when in needed.

Knowledge of 3M coding and abstracting software, PCI and Meditech systems

# E/M Primary Care / Complex coding:

Strong coding experience around Primary Care / all specialties (complex E/M coding) is must. Candidate must be certified with experience of 12months in similar role.

# Denials (Physician)

Should have strong domain expertise in understanding and resolving physician denials, have in-depth knowledge of complex coding and be able to resolve the coding related denials.  Understanding of Billing terminology is also preferred.  Experience in both edits and denials would be an added advantage. Candidate must be certified with experience of 12months in similar role.

# SDS / Surgery

Strong domain expertise and experience around surgery coding across all specialties (cardio, gastro, ortho, etc.).  Should be able to validate coding and resolve all coding related edits. Candidate must be certified with experience of 12months in similar role

Salary Ranges : Upto 8.5 LPA or 30% to 40% hike  depending upon the current CTC
