Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Ancillary – Lab Coding.
• CPC or CCS Certification mandatory.
• Good knowledge of medical coding systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts and principles

Job Descriptions:

• Responsible for abstracting, coding, sequencing, and interpreting the clinical information from outpatient medical records
• Assigning correct principal diagnoses, secondary diagnoses, principal procedures, and secondary procedure codes, paying attention to accurate sequencing.
• Ensure that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced according to government and insurance regulations.
• Collect information from physicians to prepare monthly reports. 
• Ensure that services are submitted properly before billing.
