Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in EM Surgery coding.
• CPC or CCS Certification mandatory.
• Good knowledge of medical coding systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts and principles

Job Descriptions:

• Assign accurate diagnosis and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for each patient's procedures and diagnoses using coding systems like the International Classification of Diseases (ICD).
• Review patients' charts and documents for accuracy and may contact physicians for additional information.
• Ensure that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced according to government and insurance regulations.
• Collect information from physicians to prepare monthly reports. 
• Ensure that services are submitted properly before billing.
