The internship program affiliated with AAPC(Practicode) is a web-based training program allowing new medical coders to gain confidence in coding 660+ cases in various specialties. Completing this program helps to remove one of the two required years of your credential's apprentice designation. The internship program will help you become a full credential holder faster than ever, separating you from the crowd of new coders.
The internship Program's (Practicode) web-based format allows you to gain experience at your own pace, in your own space, when you want.
The program is comprised of three modules, each containing 200 actual redacted medical records. Students must complete a 20-case assessment at the end of each module, passing with a proficiency of 70% or higher.
It is highly Recommended to Complete a professional coding course and CPC exam.
The online course must be completed within 3- 6 months. In contrast, individual modules must be completed within six months from the date of purchase (additional time extensions may be purchased for $29.95 per month). The date of purchase is considered your course start date
Once purchased, you will receive an email that includes a link, username, and password to access the real chart to start doing.
All users are provided 3- 6 months to complete the content from the date of enrolment. The extension can be purchased to extend your access to all for completion. (See Extension question for more details)
Extensions can be purchased for $29.95, giving you access to the content until the end of the month.
No score is required to complete Practice Modules.
Each assessment in the Practicums requires a 70% minimum, and three attempts are provided. Recommended industry-standard accuracy is a minimum of 95%
Letter of completion experience will automatically be generated and shared post completing the modules.
The experience letter is equivalent to only one year of experience for the CPC apprentice removal.
You can review the case and the correct coding as often as you like for as long as you can access the content.
